The Engineering Division provides the City's engineering and surveying services as well as technical support to the community and other City departments. Staff provides direction, plan review services, and data regarding infrastructure to consulting engineers, surveyors and developers within the City. Staff is also responsible for managing project design and construction management functions for all Public Works projects. They also issue permits to those that wish to use the right-of-way for private use.
At the October 14, 2024, Ashland City Council Study Session, the Council requested staff initiate a Management Advisory Committee (MAC) to review options for the future of the Ashland Community Center, located at 59 Winburn Way. The committee will assess whether to renovate the existing facility or pursue new construction.
