Planning an Event in Ashland

City of Ashland Special Event Permit 

Are you planning an event in Ashland? We are here to help you! A City of Ashland Special Event Permit is required for planned activities such as races, parades, festivals, film and video, and other events that occur on City of Ashland streets, parks, sidewalks or other public grounds. 

  • Submit your application at least 90 days in advance. This ensures enough time for the City to review your application and work with you through any specific traffic safety plans or event needs.
  • If approved, the permit will cost $130. If City staff are needed to support the event, there may be additional costs. 
  • Insurance may be required! You will learn through the application process if the City will require insurance for your event.
