[ARCHIVED] Know your evacuation zones and routes!

700 px wide Evacuation Map

In spring 2024, Jackson County designated evacuation zones for all county lands. If you live on the edge of Ashland or outside the city limits, it’s vital to familiarize yourself with these zones. The county’s evacuation zones differ slightly from city-designated zones, so understanding the distinctions is essential for your safety.

County zones begin with “JAC,“ representing Jackson County, while city zones will start with “ASH.” For example, Ashland’s Zone 9 is designated as “ASH-009.” This naming convention will be referenced in emergency alerts from the County, so make sure you recognize it.

Understanding your zone and evacuation levels is crucial. We encourage you to Learn the zones you are regularly in and practice your evacuation.

Sign up for alerts, familiarize yourself with evacuation routes and know multiple zones.
