Controlled Burning Today in Siskiyou Mountain Park and Above Granite Street
Controlled burning for reduced wildfire risk will be managed in lower Siskiyou Mountain Park and at the top of Granite Street. Smoke from controlled burns may impact parts of the community including trails in lower Siskiyou Mountain Park and along the Wonder Trail. Neighborhoods around Granite Street and Timberline Terrace may also have some smoke today and tomorrow.
Controlled Burn Season Beginning
Oregon Department of Forestry has declared fire season is over. Now that rainy and cooler weather has returned, controlled burn season is beginning across the area. As conditions allow, fire managers will use prescribed fire to reduce community wildfire risk around Ashland and throughout the Rogue Valley.
