[ARCHIVED] 2025 Community Development Block Grant Program - Requests for Proposals

House being built in Ashland

UPDATE January 29, 2025:

Due to the federal freeze on grant funding from the Federal Government, the City of Ashland will be extending the deadline for the CDBG application process indefinitely pending updates from the Federal government.  Given the uncertainty regarding federal funding for the CDBG program, the City does not want grantees to expend valuable staff time on an application process with an as yet unknown timeline. The City will update the website when funding availability and timeline is known and will add a time period equivalent to the extension into a revised application schedule.

We are presently accepting proposals for Activities and Projects, which benefit low and moderate-income people. The allocation of funds is approximately $24,395 through the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) for the 2025 Program Year. Applicants must be a non-profit 501(C) (3) charitable organization or a unit of government.

Please note, we may not receive final notification of the annual CDBG award amount from the Department of Housing and Urban Development until after awards have been made. The estimate is included to provide guidance to applicants regarding the expected amount of available funds. We will reserve the right to award more or less than this estimate depending on the final entitlement amount authorized by Congress and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Printed copies of the RFP are available at the Community Development and Engineering Services building at 51 Winburn Way. Or can be found on our website. Responses to the RFP must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025.
