The Ashland Parks and Recreation Department is working on the PROS (Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Senior Services) Plan. This strategic plan will guide the Department’s direction over the next decade. We want to hear from you!
The plan will establish Levels of Service goals for parks, recreation, open spaces and senior services. These benchmarks will help the department assess its performance and compare it with other communities.
Public input is critical to shaping the priorities and future development of Ashland Parks and Recreation. An initial public meeting was held this past spring, and a second meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Ashland Senior Center (1699 Homes Avenue).
This meeting will include:
- A review of draft key findings from survey data collected so far for the PROS Plan
- A presentation of the draft Level of Service framework for each key service area (Park Operations, Park Amenities, Recreation, and Senior Services)
- A Q&A session with staff following the presentation
Next steps in the process:
A draft PROS Plan will be released for public review and a 30-day comment period in early 2026.
