The City of Ashland is partnering with Wells Fargo for Lockbox Processing for check payments to improve efficiency in the Utility Billing office and to allow greater availability of staff to assist customers with other utility billing needs. Lockbox Processing is a service where a bank collects, processes and deposits incoming payments sent to a secure post office box, speeding up cash flow and reducing administrative work for businesses.

Check payments that are mailed using the envelope enclosed with your billing statement will now be sent to:

City of Ashland

Seattle, WA 98124-3436


As always, other options to pay your bill include:

  • Pay online:
  • Make a payment at the City Utilities Kiosk (credit card, check, or exact cash accepted - you will need your account number and customer ID or your most recent bill)
  • Drop it at the payment drop box at the corner of City Hall, 20 East Main Street in Ashland
  • Drop it at the white payment drop box on the Plaza in downtown Ashland (drop box is adjacent to the mailbox on the Plaza)
  • Drop it at the white payment drop box near the Police Station at 1175 E Main St
  • Pay by phone at 541.488.6004. You will need your account number and your customer number – press option one


Utility Billing staff can be reached by phone Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.at 541488.6004, by email, or in person on Fridays at The Grove,1195 East Main St from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
