Our newly elected Mayor of Ashland, along with the Ashland City Councilors and Ashland Parks and Recreation Commissioners (APRC), were officially sworn in during a special ceremony held on Monday, December 16, 2024, in the Council Chambers. Family and friends gathered to witness the event, which marked the beginning of their terms starting January 1, 2025.

The Ashland City Council, which consists of the elected Mayor and six elected Councilors, meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. These meetings, along with Study Sessions on the Mondays prior, are open to the public at 1175 E Main St in Council Chambers.

The Ashland Parks and Recreation Commission, consisting of five elected Commissioners, plays a vital role in the city’s recreational activities and parkland management. Regular business meetings of the APRC are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m., and Study Sessions take place on the first Wednesday at 6 p.m., both in the Council Chambers and open to the public.

Residents can watch the meetings live on Charter Communications-Spectrum 180, Rogue Valley Television (RVTV)/Southern Oregon University Prime or via the RVTV app. (APRC Study Sessions are not broadcast.) More at ashlandoregon.gov/PublicMeetings.
