“Clean Up Your Green Debris, Be Fire-free!”

Ashland Fire & Rescue, Recology Ashland and the City of Ashland are proud to announce the 14th Annual FREE Green Debris Drop Off Days and our second-ever Spring Clean Event!

  • Sunday, April 19, 2026 - Spring Clean Event (Bring your green debris in addition to disposal, recycling and donated items)
  • Sunday, May 3, 2026 - Green Debris Drop-off Day (Green Debris Only)

Create a Fire Adapted yard before fire season starts by removing the “fuel“ from a potential wildfire.

We are holding these events again this year to help reduce costs in removing flammable vegetation around your home. Challenge yourself and your neighbors to bring as many Green Debris loads as you can for each event day! The unofficial record is 6 trips in one day!

Drop off your green debris free of charge! (Green Debris Drop Off Day requirements only, see Recology for details on Spring Clean)

ACCEPTED MATERIALS: Only organic green debris will be accepted.  This includes leaves, pine needles, small branches (up to 6 inches in diameter), brush and other green debris.

PROHIBITED MATERIALS: Please leave trash, stumps, logs, firewood, soil, dirt, rocks & treated lumber at home.  If you bring your green debris in bags, the bags need to be emptied and taken home.
