Ashland residents can receive up to $200 per household when they purchase a new smart irrigation controller.
Smart irrigation controllers automatically adjust watering schedules based on weather conditions, helping reduce outdoor water waste and lower your monthly water bill.
Qualifying customers can receive up to $3,000 to remove their grass. Rebate amounts will vary based on the square footage of grass removed. All converted areas must be replaced with a low-water-use landscape.
Rebates are given to customers who replace existing toilets greater than 3.0 gallons per flush (gpf) with WaterSense labeled toilets, 1.28 gallons or less per flush: $75 for the first toilet, $60 for the second and $50 for the third all located in the same residence or business.
If the utility customer chooses to replace an existing 1.6 gallon toilet with a WaterSense labeled 1.28 gpf toilet, the rebate amounts are $35 for the first toilet, $25 for the second, and $15 for the third in the same residence or business.
Rebates are also available in new construction for installation of WaterSense 1.28 gpf toilets in lieu of standard 1.6 gpf toilets. The rebate amounts are $35 for the first toilet, $25 for the second, and $15 for the third in the same residence or business.
For qualifying models, reference the WaterSense product guide at epa.gov//watersense/products/toilets.
For residents interested in conducting their own "self-audit," the Conservation staff has put together a Water Savings Guide (PDF) with resources to help you evaluate your current water use and take steps to reduce consumption both indoors and outdoors. Information is available on wise outdoor watering practices, sprinkler care, yard maintenance, car washing, and other water-consuming activities.
