On August 19, 2025, City Council approved a $947,936 contract amendment for Phase II construction upgrades to the 2200 Ashland Street property, along with detailed directives regarding site use and operations. The property is designated to serve as a severe weather shelter for the City of Ashland.
Also at the August 19 meeting, Council appointed members to the newly formed 2200 Ashland Street Facility Plan Ad Hoc Committee, tasked with expediting the implementation of the recommendations outlined in the 2200 Ashland Street Master Plan (PDF).
