The Ashland Senior Advisory Committee (ASAC) and Recreation Division Advisory Committee (RDAC) have openings for new members.  The application process is now open and will continue through Monday, November 17, 2025. Interested applicants may visit ashlandoregon.gov/apcadvisory for more information and to complete an APPLICATION. Hardcopy applications may be picked up at Ashland Senior Services Division office at Ashland Senior Center, 1699 Homes Ave or at The Grove, 1195 E Main St. This is a great volunteer opportunity to contribute ideas, to learn and to work towards the betterment of our community. Advisory committee members must be residents of Ashland.

All applications must be received or postmarked by November 17, 2025, at 5 p.m. Applications received by this date will undergo a first review. The application process may remain open beyond this date until all positions are filled.

ASAC advises Parks and Recreation Commissioners on matters related to the Senior Services Division and advocates for the needs of Ashland seniors. RDAC advises the Parks and Recreation Commissioners on matters related to the Recreation Division.

ASAC and RDAC may have up to seven voting members each. In addition, there is one (non-voting) Parks Commissioner who is a liaison to the committee. Advisory Committee member terms are four years, with no member serving more than two consecutive terms. The newly appointed members would start in January 2026, and serve through December 2029, with the option of reapplying at that time.

Advisory Committee meetings are quarterly in January, April, July and October.
