2. Participation Agreement Form

   Thank you for your interest in the City of Ashland's pilot program! This program temporarily allows portable business signs (sandwich boards, pedestal signs, etc.) in the public right-of-way for participating businesses.

   To participate in the program, please fill out the participation agreement form below.  The City will use the contact information you provide to reach out throughout the year to learn how the program is impacting your business.

24. PROGRAM ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

    To acknowledge and agree to the program's rules and specifications, initial next to each statement below.

26. Acknowledgement #1*

    I operate a business in a commercial zone (C-1, C-1-D, HC, E-1, CM, M-1) or hold a Conditional Use Permit for operation in a residential zone that is not a Travelers Accommodation. [To identify your zone, visit Ashland's Zoning Map or call 541-552-2103]

28. Acknowledgement #2*

    I agree to abide by the Portable Business Sign Specifications (PDF), which detail size, height, material, placement, and other program specifications, and acknowledge that a violation of these specifications could remove me from participation in the program.

30. Acknowledgement #3*

    I acknowledge that it is the City's intent to provide a warning the first time a violation occurs, but that the City reserves the right to remove, without warning, any portable sign placed under the pilot program that the City deems a public safety hazard.

    I acknowledge that the pilot program does not include the display of merchandise in the public right of way.

    I acknowledge that the pilot program ends August 31, 2026, and that I will not be allowed to have a portable business sign in the public right of way after that date, unless the City of Ashland extends the pilot program or amends the Ashland Municipal Code to allow for portable business signs in the public right of way.

36. Acknowledgement #6*

    I acknowledge that participation in this program is voluntary and, if I choose not to participate in the program or if I am removed from participating in the program by the City, I am required to abide by the sign regulations as stated within the Ashland Municipal Code. 

38. Acknowledgement #7*

    I agree to be contacted by the City throughout the duration of the program for the purpose of evaluating the program, providing updates, and communicating violations.
