Past Discussions, Plans and Studies
City Hall has been the subject of extensive public discussion for several decades. Since 2015, rising utility costs, functional inefficiencies and outdated infrastructure, including structural and seismic deficiencies, HVAC systems, ADA compliance and electrical systems, have led to repeated City Council reviews and studies. The Council has examined options such as renovation, reconstruction, relocation and consolidation numerous times since 2015 (and as early as 1994), yet legal, financial and operational constraints have prevented a final decision.
This page provides access to key documents and meetings related to City Hall and broader City facilities planning.
