Purchasing Overview
The Purchasing Division is responsible for coordinating departmental and city-wide procurement and assists departments with managing inventories. Various bid processes are used in accordance with adopted City policies and procedures. Internal customer service is the primary focus.
The City uses OregonBuys to post requests for proposals or invitations to bid.
The City of Ashland also utilizes GovDeals to auction off surplus items.
Living Wage
The City has a living wage requirement for contracts that meet the criteria of Chapter 3.12 of the Ashland Municipal code. The living wage is adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index.
